Affiliate links

When you click a “Check price” or shop link on our site and buy something, the shop may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether you arrive through our link or not.

We work with affiliate programmes run by shops such as Shopee, Lazada, Amazon and TikTok Shop. Every outbound shop link is marked with rel="sponsored" and opens in a new tab.

What it does not change

• Our ratings and verdicts. Commission rates play no part in what we recommend.
• Which products we cover. We pick products readers ask about, not the ones that pay best.
• The buyer review summaries. Those reflect what real buyers wrote, whether it is flattering or not.

Hands-on testing

Most of our verdicts are based on research: manufacturer specifications, reputable third-party reviews and the patterns in buyer reviews. Where we have physically tested a product, the page says “We tested this product ourselves”. If it does not say that, we have not.

Prices

Prices shown are the regular shop prices we last recorded and may have changed. In the Philippines the price you actually pay is often lower: Shopee and Lazada apply vouchers in their mobile apps that the desktop site does not show, and prices drop further during payday sales and the 9.9, 10.10, 11.11 and 12.12 events. We do not quote sale prices because they change too quickly to verify — always confirm the current price in the app before buying.
